Mendocino County Fire Safe Council
AVFD strongly encourages local residents to prepare for wildfire through creating defensible space, home hardening, roadside fuel reduction, address signage, and more. Mendocino County Fire Safe Council is an organization that provides education resources and supports communities who are organizing for fire safety.

CPR Classes
AVFD offers CPR classes and AHA certification for first responders and the general public. Classes are scheduled as requested, with a six-person maximum.
Heartsaver CPR & First Aid for the general public is $60 per student. Minimum class size is three people, maximum 6.
BLS CPR for first responders is $50 per student. Minimum class size is 3, maximum 6.
