4’X4’ Burn Piles are allowed under a

Cal Fire Burn Permit

Winter burning season is closed, but small piles will be permitted for a few more weeks.

CalFire permits can be obtained ONLINE ONLY

CalFire will declare a BURN BAN in the late spring or early summer, depending on fuels & weather. After that time, burn piles will be prohibited until the burn ban ends in the fall.

Mendocino County Air Quality permits are required year ‘round. These can be obtained for free at Anderson Valley Fire Department or on-line at https://www.co.mendocino.ca.us/aqmd/

Always call 463-4391 to see if it is an air quality burn day prior to burning.
