HISTORY

Founded in 1955, the Anderson Valley Fire Department is operated by the Anderson Valley Community Services District and provides fire prevention and suppression, rescue, ” first responder ” emergency medical care and other services to the District, including the communities of Boonville, Philo, Navarro and Yorkville. The District begins at the Mendocino/Sonoma County line on Highway 128 and stretches approximately 40 miles to Flynn Creek Road in the redwoods. We provide services to approximately 200 square miles of coastal mountains and valleys.
